DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION:

As Vice President, Precision Marketing, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate directly with the Senior Management Team to define and execute the strategy and vision for SickKids Foundation. You will lead the team that is responsible for raising over $100 million each year from mass audience donors and have accountability for a wide range of marketing campaigns, programs, products, and initiatives for monthly donors, one-time donors, SickKids signature event participants/donors and product purchasers (including SickKids lottery & gaming ticket purchasers).
You are a strong marketer with expertise in marketing, customer engagement and loyalty, possessing extensive experience utilizing marketing channels and techniques to increase revenue. The Vice President, Precision Marketing will lead a large, integrated marketing team in partnership with the Vice President, Head of Brand, Content & Communications. Your direct team is responsible for the development of precision marketing campaigns for the mass audience segment with the goal of driving donor acquisition, loyalty and fundraising revenue.
This portfolio also manages the ongoing relationship with mass audience donors and will help drive the marketing ecosystem to further engage, solicit, and steward mass audience donors. Your knowledge and success around data analytics will lead to best-in-class donor relationships, increased revenue growth and improved marketing ROI.
This position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • University degree or equivalent post-secondary accreditation, combined with a minimum of ten (10) years of progressive senior management leadership experience in marketing
  • Significant success developing strategies related to client, customer or donor experience principles and strategies, with the ability to craft engaging donor journeys
  • Strong commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) through lived experience or comprehensive knowledge and awareness and a track record of self-guided learning or formal education in EDI
  • Extensive experience within precision marketing, customer engagement and loyalty
  • Demonstrated success utilizing digital channels and techniques to increase revenue
  • Established performance of building profitable marketing campaigns and business channels
  • Experience in subscription-based marketing or recurring revenue business models, demonstrating the ability to drive acquisition, retention, and growth within these frameworks
  • Expertise in leveraging data analytics to determine key insights
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of driving positive sustainable change
  • Strong business acumen encompassing a broad range of customer or donor types
  • Demonstrated success in building and retaining high-performance teams through inspiration, development, and coaching
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; high levels of emotional intelligence
  • The ability to bring individuals and teams together, fostering engagement, alignment and leveraging collective strengths
  • Experience leading a results-driven marketing team within a highly visible, well-known company with complex scope will be considered an asset
