Title and Summary
Vice President, Product Management
Overview
The VP Product Management will lead the International Realtime Payments platform roadmap and strategy, managing the related products which form the strategic direction for Mastercard global realtime payments.
Key accountabilities:
Develop and deliver a consistent product vision, strategy and roadmap for key strategic RTP products.
Drive the delivery of these key strategic products, in budget against committed milestones, following a regular reporting structure for senior leadership visibility and progress tracking against objectives.
Ownership of product roadmap development for various products, overseeing the holistic release schedule and ensuring adherence to roadmap governance processes.
Ownership of product strategy, and execution of long-term and short-term strategic initiatives with a focus on developing core, scalable and revenue-driving products.
Support go-to-market activities, Commercial team and Customer Account Management team to optimise go-to-market strategy and drive time to revenue.
Identify and recommend new features and functionality based on a data-driven approach in partnership with Commercial, Go to Market and Customer Account Management teams and complete business case process to initiate development.
Ownership of product P&L and business cases, including ensuring financial control, budget management, reporting to product boards. Manage and optimize budgets, forecasting, and cost allocation to enable the delivery of key business objectives.
Lead and motivate a cross-functional team whose job it is to transform business requirements and customer experiences into features and functions that drive the platform/product roadmap, through to overseeing the engineering build.
Build highly effective partnerships with Product peers to ensure strategic alignment across products & business areas, and have ability to manage competing priorities across multiple roadmaps.
Develop and leverage effective partnerships with Engineering and Delivery functions to develop core, scalable products for release, ensuring that build effort concludes on time and on budget.
Navigate and influence key stakeholders, leveraging strong relationships with key groups across Mastercard to gain support and buy-in for key decisions, across the various governance processes, from Boards to Councils.
Support product management disciplines across the product lifecycle, e.g., Studio framework, Agile development, and product quality, ensuring product readiness across Technology, Delivery, Product and GTM perspectives.
Deep understanding of realtime payments product functionality across the suite and market dynamics including regulatory, legal, competitive and technology landscapes.
Actively partner with multiple internal teams across Mastercard to meet objectives and to deliver on the day-to-day business commitments, including driving effective relations across partnership functions, e.g. Engineering, Operations & Technology, Delivery, Finance, Risk, Legal & Franchise Integrity.
Build high-performing teams and actively manage talent across the Product organisation through hiring new and actively developing existing talent.
Drive institutionalised knowledge with consistent documentation across all processes to support knowledge management and ensure consistency and repeatable across projects and products.
Responsible for preparation of relevant content for Product, Commercial & Customer councils and boards, representing Product Management.
During periods of absence, to deputise for the SVP Product Lead at Executive meetings and to effectively communicate, present and influence at board level, both internally and externally.

An established leader with VP level experience. Outstanding management skills and the proven ability to build and inspire teams to achieve objectives.
Excellence in customer need-driven product management and end-to-end product lifecycle management.
Experience in managing development of products with and for financial institutions and schemes. Background in cross border, financial crime, open banking, gateways, value added services or wallets necessary.
A commercial focus that leads to corporate growth through proven experience of business case development, revenue generation and cost control.
A communicator and influencer, from board level to technical level.
Ability to forge strong relationships at all levels.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities to drive alignment across a matrixed organization and teams.
Outstanding collaboration and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to think strategically about complex issues, driving thoughtful recommendations and action plans.
