ABOUT THE POSITION

The VP Project Manager for the pre-contractual process is responsible to ensure that a set of key activities, estimations, evaluations and risk mitigating actions are taken prior to and up until a new shipbuilding contracts is awarded. Than hand over the project to the Newbuilding Project Manager with an overall alignment of the building strategy, timeline (integrated plan), scope of work and cost for the project, including all relevant entities.
The VP Project Manager Pre-con. will manage the pre-contractural team and take decisions which falls under the nature of the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant higher education
  • Relevant experience
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and experience related to the accountability and tasks
  • Good knowledge of English, oral and written
  • Good cultural understanding

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that target is met concerning obtaining of valid offers, verification of technical content and scope of work from key suppliers
  • Run coordination- and progress meetings to review status of planning, procurement, and engineering process
  • Overall management and coordination of the pre-contractual process
  • Support Sales Team in the sales phase
  • Keep close dialogue with VARD entities to ensure that there is alignment on cost, time and scope of work
  • Coordinate and communicate the need and requirement of critical technical documentation
  • Ensure that the concept phase design review is carried out
  • Support the QA prosses regarding building specification, GA and other relevant technical documents are verified and aligned
  • Collect risk analysis from all entities and prepare overall project risk analysis
  • In general, ensure that the project is ready to set the main equipment orders shortly after the main contract is signed, in alignment with the defined targets
