The aim of our Group Facilities team is to constantly improve customer satisfaction and happiness through dedicated and quality service.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: THIS JOB MIGHT BE FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE:
- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Civil/ Electrical /Architectural Engineering. Advanced Degree is preferred.
- 12+ years’ experience Facilities maintenance or a related field, with at least 7 years in a leadership role.
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Vice President Facilities overseeing the Operations and Maintenance , you will develop and lead the strategic planning, operational management, and continuous improvement of global facility operations and maintenance activities. This role ensures the reliability, efficiency, and safety of all facilities, supporting organizational goals and enhancing the overall operational performance. As a part of our constant efforts to promote sustainability across the Emirates group, the VP will spearhead the development and implementation of sustainability practices to promote a culture of being environmentally friendly.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
- Develop and implement comprehensive facilities operations and maintenance strategies aligned with organizational objectives in close collaboration with executive leadership.
- Develop, drive and monitor the budget planning, cost management, and financial performance of the operations and maintenance department.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure maintenance activities align with overall business needs and goals, maintaining effective communication with key stakeholders.
- Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve maintenance processes, reduce operational costs, and drive initiatives for sustainability and energy efficiency within facility operations.
- Ensure compliance with all local and relevant international regulations related to facilities operations and maintenance.
- Promote and implement sustainable practices within facilities operations to minimize environmental impact.
- Stay updated on industry trends and innovations related to facilities management and sustainability.
- Simultaneously lead multiple high value and complex projects within the area of specialisation by directing relevant specialised contractors/consultants on a range of topics such as estimation of cost/work requirements and project specification and scope. The job holder works closely with the facilities design and turnkey projects section to ensure satisfactory maintenance for the buildings.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the operations and maintenance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and team collaboration.
- Lead the operations and maintenance team to achieve high standards of operational excellence, efficiency, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
