Job Profile Summary
The selected candidate will join our global family as part of the leading Trade and Commodity Finance (TCF) franchise. You will be based in Singapore, managing the relationship of existing clients, and originating new clients for the Southeast Asia region. You will work to establish strong and effective relationships with key internal stakeholders etc. and with our client.
To succeed in this role you will need to work collaboratively with other members of the department, sharing knowledge and supporting each other in the development and growth of our knowledge base. As part of the TCF global franchise, you will also need to frequently contact TCF teams in other locations and build up your network.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Origination of new clients and management of existing TCF clients for the Southeast Asia region.
  • Structure and execute transactions (TCF, loans and other financial solutions) by collaborating closely with key stakeholders i.e., clients, product, risk, legal, compliance, operations etc.
  • Work closely with Transaction Management Office (TMO) and operations partners to ensure robust execution of flow trade transactions.
  • Support the growth of ING’s wallet share of auxiliary businesses (including Financial Markets, Transaction Services, Capital Markets & Advisory) and our trade digitalization ambitions.
  • Implement ING’s business strategies and policies for TCF and Asia Pacific to achieve financial and business objectives while ensuring strong adherence to prudent risk management and in accordance with regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Lead and support discussions on knowledge sharing / transaction review sessions and any ad hoc requirements as required by your manager.

What we’re looking for:

  • 7 - 10 years prior experience in the financial services sector.
  • In depth knowledge and experience in the commodity financing industry; prior experience of managing Singapore based large commodity traders will be an advantage.
  • Good analytical skills, with keen interest to find out more.
  • Resourceful and willingness to work with clients / stakeholders for solutions.
  • Positive attitude in dealing with challenging and difficult situations.
  • Good command of written and spoken Mandarin (business), to deal with majority of Chinese clients.
