JOB SUMMARY
As a victim liaison manager for Yorkshire and Humberside, you’re self-motivated and organised to manage the daily workflow of the unit, and work collaboratively with others to deliver clear and efficient communications to victims. You represent the Crown Prosecution Service in meetings with partners from across the criminal justice system. You also line manage victim liaison officers and assistants.

As part of this role, you are expected to undertake direct line management responsibilities.
JOB DESCRIPTION
You will analyse victim communications data to provide reports and lessons learned in order to improve processes and problem solve.
You will work collaboratively in a team to deliver high quality casework and service to victims and witnesses.
You will ensure queries are dealt with in a professional/assertive and knowledgeable manner. Direct queries to the most appropriate person to maintain public confidence in the CPS.
You will communicate with empathy and understanding, through constructive conversations. Identify any issues early and manage expectations.
You will keep witnesses engaged and informed in line with policy timescales.

In addition you will need to demonstrate the CPS or Civil Service Values.

The panel has the right to assess the lead behaviour ‘Managing a Quality Service’ first. If the standard on this behaviour isn’t met, the other behaviours won’t be considered and your application won’t progress. The panel also has the right to raise the minimum standard pass mark. The panel may also refer to the lead behaviour at the interview stage to determine merit order.
