Company Introduction: T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 33 stores across the country: 14 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 11 in Ontario, and 1 in Quebec. The Company’s continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.

The Role: We are seeking a Marketing Specialist with a keen eye for creativity in food, similar to a food stylist, who possesses the ability to recognize the artistic potential in culinary presentations. This role plays a crucial part in storytelling T&T’s diverse food offerings and brand story through captivating video and photo work. Additionally, the role involves project management responsibilities, including initiating collaboration with cross-departmental teams and external agencies, and running marketing campaigns that help achieve the business goals.

  • Major Responsibilities: Responsible in all aspects of video and photo production, from pre-production to post-production, including storyboarding, script writing, shooting, editing, sound mixing, and color correction.
  • Expert in storytelling and bringing creative ideas to life that speak to various outputs such as new store announcements, product launches, seasonal campaigns, etc. Proficient in pitching creative initiatives to Marketing team.
  • Lead the direction of the team and partners to develop imagery (e.g., photography, videography) and copy to best support the creative strategy and vision
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to comprehend specific needs and themes for photo/video shoots, ensuring alignment with branding and marketing strategies.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of food markets and stay updated on the latest creative trends.
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to strategize creative initiatives across owned, paid, and earned channels to achieve business goals.
  • Prepare creative briefs, manage campaign calendars, production budgets, and projects to ensure timely launches.
  • Manage project workflows, ensuring adherence to timelines, work-back schedules, and approval processes.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements: Bachelor or college degree in Marketing, Business, Film Production, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in project management.
  • Proven experience as a food videographer/photographer and stylist, with a portfolio that demonstrates expertise.
  • Excellent experience with digital technology and post-edit software program (canon series, adobe photoshop, adobe premiere, after effects, drone, media encoder & basic).
  • Highly motivated, self-managed individual with strong project management skills, and an ability to prioritize, communicate, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese.
  • A valid driver’s license and personal vehicle are required for this position.
