Description:

Stanford’s Graduate School of Business (GSB) has built a global reputation based on its immersive and innovative management programs. We provide students a transformative leadership experience, pushing the boundaries of knowledge with faculty research, and offering a portfolio of entrepreneurial and non-degree programs that deliver global impact like no other. We are committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in service of our mission of developing innovative, principled, and insightful leaders who change lives, change organizations, and change the world. We invite you to be part of this mission.
The Communications & Marketing Department at Stanford Graduate School of Business seeks a Video & Digital Content Producer. In this role, you will produce multimedia content that illuminates our faculty research and showcases the GSB experience and impact for a large global audience. You will have the opportunity to work with faculty, staff, students, and alumni in creating compelling stories. In addition, you will assign and manage freelance producers and agencies and collaborate closely with other team members within the department. This role reports to the creative director.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience creating high-impact digital content in a variety of formats, is a natural storyteller, and loves to explore and try new ideas. You are equally excited by the creation of short-form videos for social media as you are by producing high-production-value videos. You have solid technical skills, strong project management capabilities, and curiosity about new tools. You are keenly attuned to audience needs and are able to deliver on the broad communication goals of the school. You bring experience working with faculty or senior-level professionals, and you thrive on teamwork and collaboration.
This is a hybrid position and requires a minimum of two days per week on the Stanford University campus in Palo Alto, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and oversee the creation of original, high-impact visual storytelling content. Lead the process from ideation through production to completion. Produce videos featuring alumni, faculty, and students tailored for high-impact dissemination on social media and the web, and shoot photos and videos of campus events and activities as needed.
  • Independently lead high-impact video projects: Plan, research, prepare, produce, and archive digital content to support the dissemination of faculty research and other GSB communication objectives. Manage all ongoing video production, overseeing editorial calendar, ideation, and production plans. Requires extensive collaboration with faculty and other senior leaders.
  • Create and produce content to support video dissemination across the web, social media, and video platforms. Oversee the development of written or multimedia supporting materials for videos, including brand development, YouTube descriptions, web stories, and related social media content. Create both video and written materials. May produce podcast or other audio content as well.
  • Manage vendors on multiple projects, ensuring projects are produced successfully on time and on budget.
  • Provide strategic video expertise to the department, and to stakeholders across the GSB to support and enable successful video production. Manage all aspects of video production including equipment, file management, and archiving.
  • Contribute to the development of ongoing video strategy and manage the video production budget to align resources with strategy. Monitor video performance across all channels to evaluate effectiveness and evolve our strategic approaches.
  • Serve as internal project leader. May provide guidance and video skills training to other staff.
