JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a skilled Video Editor to support the production process and create high-quality video and storytelling media. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in video editing, production, graphics, multimedia development, and preferably audio mixing. They will be responsible for post-production development and the creation of engaging content that meets the needs of our clients.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree preferable, in Video Production, Creative Digital Media, Visual Communications or any other creative or multimedia subject.
· Proven experience and proficiency in video editing, production and motion graphics.
· Proficiency in Davinci Resolve, Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) and preferably additional software such as JavaScript, Construct, Blender or Cinema 4D.
· Strong understanding of the pre-production process and visual composition principles: framing, colour grading, pacing, transitions and effects.
· Experience in audio mixing and the use of voiceovers.
· Capable of working on your own initiative but also collaboratively on projects with the wider team.
· Keen eye for detail with a creative mindset and strong problem solving skills.
· Excellent time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines. Highly organised with strong file and asset management skills.
· Ability to work with brands and adhere to brand guidelines. Experience working with clients preferable.
· Basic to advanced knowledge of professional camera equipment, including setup, operation, and lighting. Hands-on experience preferable.
· Additional experience in any of the following: 3D animation tools, gamification, social media or video marketing is a bonus.

· Edit and assemble video footage using Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Davinci Resolve ensuring smooth transitions, colour correction, and dynamic storytelling.
· Develop 2D animations, motion graphics and other engaging visuals in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator to enhance video projects and supporting materials.
· Apply advanced knowledge of framing, colour theory, and composition to create professional-grade visuals.
· Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm, plan, and execute innovative video concepts.
· Utilise tools and assets such as stock imagery to support the storytelling, narrative and flow of a video.
· Ensure all project files and deliverables are organized and submitted on time.
· Operate and manage professional cameras (e.g., DSLRs or cinema cameras) for in-studio or on-location shoots – travel to filming locations as required.
· Stay informed and up to date on trends in video production, design, and animation.
· Provide guidance and support to clients and internal teams on best practices for video editing and post production.
