QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred High School Diploma/GED
  • 1 year Healthcare or related Preferred
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association

Responsibilities:

  • Patient Intervention Observes patient and intervenes as needed to prevent behaviors that may result in injury to the patient.
  • Patient Communication Provides verbal support and reassurance to patients and their families by communicating with nursing staff to promote patient safety
  • Job Duty Paperwork Documents within Epic any pertinent information related to job duties as required.
  • Patient Services Records/reports observations and activities, provides verbal direction and redirection based on patient behavior
  • Patient Information Communication Communicates and reports patient data and information to the RN to ensure appropriate and timely care is provided to the patient.
  • Patient Monitoring Continuously observes the patient and notifies nursing staff of the need for patient assistance to maintain a safe environment for the patient.
  • Troubleshoots Troubleshoots problems with equipment and procedures to ensure accurate and efficient monitoring of patients.
  • Reports Ensures staff promptly report any patient risk incidents and grievances from families regarding service quality, acting as a liaison to resolve these concerns effectively.
  • Patient Monitoring When necessary, monitors the patient at bedside and notifies nursing staff of the need for patient assistance or need to leave the patient’s bedside, to maintain a safe environment for the patient.
