Description of the Department: Within the Global COO department, procurement management is a trusted partner of other AXA IM departments to enhance the value of their purchases. It conducts 300 negotiations per year and monitors 500 active contracts totaling over 200 million euros. Among other duties, procurement management oversees the sustainability of AXA IM’s suppliers, reflecting AXA’s strong commitments and driving our suppliers towards sustainability excellence.
Procurement management consists of two procurement teams managing distinct purchasing areas (general expenses, operations, and IT), as well as the procurement office team, which recruits for this VIE position.
The procurement office team manages the operational aspects of the department outside of negotiations: negotiation and contract compliance, supplier sustainability, performance monitoring, expense analysis, procedure definition, communication, project monitoring (transformation, tools). The team also supports travel management for all of AXA IM.
The procurement office consists of 5 people based in both Paris La Défense, London, and Frankfurt, supported by 5 consultants based in India.
Your main responsibilities will be as follows:
We are looking for a new team member passionate about managing a sustainability program for suppliers. The person will also contribute to ensuring the compliance of AXA IM contracts with AXA’s laws and standards and support buyers on the sustainable purchasing aspects of their negotiations.
- Sustainable procurement - Management of AXA IM’s procurement sustainability program:
- Management of the supplier assessment program with the rating agency (EcoVadis): expense analysis, scope definition, operational organization, assessment and supplier result monitoring, action plans, periodic reviews
- Definition and deployment of action plans to improve supplier sustainability performance
- Coordination of the supplier sustainability program with the AXA group, other AXA entities, and AXA IM stakeholders: sustainability program manager, buyers, and stakeholders
- Promoting buyer engagement following mandatory and recurring training and negotiation process monitoring
- Transversal activities:
- Internal communication with the procurement team (management, stakeholders, and buyers)
- Management of collaborative tools: (SharePoint site / Intranet pages / contract databases / Salesforce / Workplace)
- Procurement communication management, proposing new communication methods
- Implementation of procurement communication tools (content creation / ad hoc presentations)
- Support for travel management, ensuring compliance with physical security policy
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Top-tier Business School / Master’s degree with a specialization in Sustainable Development
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Presentation skills (impactful presentations, C-level presentations)
- Proficiency in French and English.
- Analytical skills (business case analysis, reporting, synthesis, processes)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel, VBA not required)
RELATIONAL AND BEHAVIORAL SKILLS:
- High level of autonomy (position abroad)
- Ability to influence within the organization, including the Group and other entities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong commitment to work
ANY SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE THAT WOULD BE A PLUS:
- Procurement skills, or at least an interest in procurement
