JOB DESCRIPTION:

At Summerset we are here to bring the best of life to our residents. To do this, we know we need to take care of our people to form a team who are strong enough to care, operate as one team, and strive to do their best.
We are looking for an exceptional Village Assistant to join our team on a part time basis at our Cranbourne North Village. This is a fixed-term position until the end of 2025 to assist in providing village cover across the entire week, reporting directly to the Village Operations Manager.
Our Village Assistant is in many ways the face of our business and as such you need to be able to relate to a wide range of people, especially the elderly and their families. The Village Assistant role provides great diversity and professionalism, therefore you would provide a degree of both operational and administrative experience supporting the Village Operations Manager. The role will commence initially 3 days per week primarily being Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 9am to 5pm. This role is responsible for being the first point of contact for current residents and all Village related matters whilst on duty.
Whilst on duty you be required to respond to any emergency situations which may arise, and a current first aid certificate is required. You will also carry out a range of tasks including cleaning / housekeeping, admin support tasks as required.
At Summerset we value your presentation and customer service ethic as much as the technical skills you bring to the team - our culture is what sets us apart! You are expected to be actively interested in the “look and feel” of the Village. This is accomplished within the context of ensuring that the residents feel supported and secure, and enjoy living within Summerset’s Villages.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The person we are looking for will have previous experience in administrative duties, a background in customer service and/or previous experience in a Retirement or Aged Care setting is desirable. We are looking for an all rounder who enjoys diversity and challenge in their role. We are hoping this person is willing to grow with us as we expand our Australian footprint and Cranbourne Village
