Description:
The Role
Vermont Estate is currently seeking a Village Support Officer for our retirement village located in South Plympton. Our village comprises both Serviced Apartments and Independent Living Units (no Residential Aged Care).
Our residents are independent retirees who have sought the company and safety of living in a community of like-minded individuals with services provided that give them and their families the reassurance that they will be cared for if the need arises.
Duties will include responding to resident enquiries, general administrative duties, food services, general domestic cleaning and housekeeping of community centre and apartments, assisting with our village events, responding to call outs, undertaking first aid and initiating emergency services where required
Your roster will be a mixture of day and afternoon shifts with passive overnight sleepover on site to provide on call emergency response. Additional assistance will be required for leave coverage.
About you
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, committed, dependable and be dedicated to providing exceptional customer service. A professional and positive approach is required at all times to ensure that all residents’ needs are met. A background in either hospitality, healthcare or customer service would be advantageous, as well as having the following:
- A current Level 2 First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain)
- The ability to make critical decisions and remain calm under pressure
- Be motivated and able to take initiative
- Basic computer skills
