DESCRIPTION
Become the new Vineyard Manager for one of Australia’s most highly awarded and regarded wine businesses, Paringa Estate on the Mornington Peninsula. This is an opportunity to work with a premium producer, continuing an outstanding record of excellence in fruit quality and viticulture.
Reporting directly to the owner, this is a hands-on role that will manage 36Ha of owned and leased vineyards, with responsibility for all day-to-day operations. With the support of the family business, the Vineyard Manager will develop improvement strategies and innovations, driving quality and vine health.
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in viticulture, applied science, agricultural science or equivalent discipline
- Track record of excellence in high-end viticulture and vineyard management
- Understanding and ambition for fine wine culture and brands
- Chemical Users Certificate and/or Chemical Accreditation Course
- Good knowledge and experience operating machinery and equipment
- Strongly developed technical knowledge, with hands-on operational experience
- Strong communication and people management skills
- Collaborative and inclusive approach to teamwork
- Organisation and planning skills
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Proactive and solutions-based approach
- Culturally astute and open-minded
- Ability and willingness to undertake manual labour tasks
- Capacity for light domestic travel
- Valid driver’s licence
