The Virtual Production Producer will be critical in managing all aspects of our digital and physical production operations. Reporting directly to the Executive team, you will work with Producers, Directors and other Heads of Departments to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest creative standards. Your role will involve guiding production, optimizing resource allocation, and enhancing risk management strategies while promoting collaboration between our digital and physical production teams. As the primary liaison for productions at Versatile, you will work closely with production crews and technology partners to ensure the success of each project.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of studio experience at the supervisory level on feature films and television projects.
  • Technical proficiency in performance capture (motion capture, facial capture, digital double, tracking solutions), real-time and on-set visualization technologies.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing physical production teams as well as delivering high-quality VFX for Film and TV television projects.
  • Solid communication skills and ability to troubleshoot against delivery deadlines.

Responsibilities:

KEY DIGITAL PRODUCTION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee greenlit productions, schedules, budgets and workflows within the studio.
  • Lead creative and technical discussions with supervisors and department heads to develop solutions, ensuring visual quality while maintaining high standards across all departments.
  • Pitch innovative solutions to key physical production creatives (directors, DP’s, Production Designers, etc.) to achieve optimal outcomes for the production.
  • Facilitate efficient operation of LED stages and drive the studio’s real-time game engine capabilities.
  • Roadmap and provide direction as needed for the studio’s production-related needs.
  • Work with show producers to drive the day-to-day activity of real-time pipeline for production ensuring the budget, schedules, and quality are met for both the studio and client satisfaction.
  • Help define best workflow practices, including motivating on-set employees to ensure efficiencies and best practices.
  • Liaise with virtual production artists and all other digital resources.

KEY PHYSICAL PRODUCTION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all aspects of LED filming, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Liaise with production teams, crew, equipment suppliers, and other production partners and resources..
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations while implementing risk management strategies to mitigate production challenges.
  • Act as the key point of contact for productions coming to film at Versatile.
  • Provide regular production reports to highlight progress and potential issues to the executive team.
  • Participate in casting, resourcing, and identifying recruiting requirements while determining show crewing and scheduling for projects.
