Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is looking for Visiting Medial Officers for our Sexual Assault Service to join our team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital!
We are looking for Visiting Medical Officers in Sexual Assault Service. The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Sexual Assault Medicine and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Sexual Assault Service and Hospital as required.
The Sexual Assault Service offers a crisis response to adults, young people and adolescents, aged 14 years and over. The Visiting Medical Officer in Sexual Assault Medicine will provide clinical management, treatment, and forensic care of patients in RPA Sexual Assault Service, under their care. The role will work with a multidisciplinary team including the Sexual Assault Counsellor, and involves on-call after-hours in twelve-hour shifts, as well as providing advice to other clinical staff on medical or forensic matters relating to sexual assault.
The Visiting Medical Officer will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
The successful applicant will be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and hold Fellowship of the Australasian Chapter of Sexual Health Medicine of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, or Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and/or other relevant specialist recognition.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Public Hospitals Visiting Medical Officer Determination.
