- An automatic annual increment each year will be paid up to (and not including) the discretionary range within the University of Oxford’s grade 2 salary scale.
Responsibilities:
Passionate about delivering great customer service, you will be a confident team player who enjoys helping and interacting with people and feels satisfied when a customer leaves happy. You will be alert and mindful of the irreplaceable value of our collection and you will work to ensure no items or people come to harm. Interest in working in a visitor-focused heritage environment, as well as working knowledge of another language, is desirable.
This role involves interacting with visitors while moving around the galleries and varied working patterns and positions, which will include working alone, or in part of a team. Some manual handling is also involved. A key aspect of this role is using product knowledge to inspire our customers and maximising sale opportunities and encouraging visitor giving (donations).
This is a variable hours, permanent post. Whilst most GLAM sites are open 7 days a week availability at weekends and during busier periods is especially appreciated.
