Description:
The Community Investment Trust (CIT) is a proven commercial real estate investing model with the goal of helping all residents participate in and benefit from their community’s economic prosperity. It is a localized and long-term, risk-protected, affordable investment for low-income and BIPOC communities in the asset class of commercial-retail real estate, to harness and transform the financial system that has long shut them out and help families emerge from poverty and build wealth. The VISTA member will continue supporting the East Portland CIT pilot and further model implementation across the United States.
Member Duties : The member will build capacity and support efforts to achieve long-term sustainability of East Portland CIT and support the CIT National Implementation Program. The specific duties of the position include: - Assist with the evaluation of the CIT impact on family, business and community levels through a lens of belonging. - Support implementation of the marketing, outreach, and education strategies that cultivate belonging, honor relationships, and strengthen trust, through online and offline events, social media presence, conferences. - Facilitate regular CIT learning sessions with implementers and other CIT VISTA members, support Community of Practice development. - Identify opportunities and resources to sustain CIT’s work nationally. - Support CIT fundraising efforts.
