Description:
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- This role is Temporary (until April 2025) full-time, 76hrs/fortnight.
- This position is based on-site at IKEA Marsden Park, NSW 2765.
- You have the availability to work Monday to Friday 7:00am to 4:00pm (and occasional weekend or Public Holiday shifts, as per business needs).
- As part of the recruitment process this role requires a pre-employment check for final candidates.
- If you are successful for this role, you will be required to obtain a National Police Check.
Responsibilities:
- Lead by example, engage, coach and empower your team of Visual Merchandisers to develop their creative problem-solving skills, secure commercial results and sales opportunities.
- Contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
- Use local market and customer knowledge to plan and secure inspiration and a great shopping experience and is reflected in team goals and strategies.
- Demonstrating the uniqueness of the IKEA product range through your and the team’s visual merchandising competence and display techniques in different store media and activity areas to distance us from the competition.
- Securing the use of the store layout as a commercial tool to plan and implement commercial strategies throughout the store while creating a good overview and strong visual impact.
- Regularly communicate with key stakeholders across all levels of the business to build collaboration, engagement and commerciality.
- Recruiting, developing, and leading your team by encouraging open, constructive, and honest, two-way feedback
