We are looking for a dedicated Visual Merchandising Specialist to join our team. This is a new role and function at Knix, where, as the first member of the Visual Merchandising team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our in-store experience. The Visual Merchandising Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Merchandising (GTM & assortment planning), Planning (demand & allocations), and Retail Operations, to ensure our product assortment, product plans, and planograms are optimized to meet sales goals. This role will be critical in creating immersive and visually engaging customer experiences that embody our brand and meet business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Visual Merchandising, Fashion, or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in a corporate Visual Merchandising role integrated with Merchandising, Planning, and Retail Operations.
  • Strong preference for candidates with apparel or intimates background and experience building VM best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and execute visually compelling store experiences.
  • Expertise in building VM tools and libraries, including fixture mapping, flow planning, and signage distribution.
  • A strong understanding of branding compliance and experience tailoring VM solutions for diverse store profiles and assortments.
  • Proficiency in design software and visual merchandising tools.
  • Excellent communication, training, and collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed for store visits, launches, and activations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop Visual Merchandising (VM) directives aligned with the channel-specific GTM calendar and plans, including store flow maps to support key product launches and activations.
  • Provide weekly updates on VM focuses, calendars, and merchandise changes to adapt to business needs and drive KPIs.
  • Develop and manage distribution plans for VM asset rollouts, while maintaining and organizing the VM asset library.
  • Ensure stores execute VM strategies in compliance with brand guidelines through regular store visits, virtual walkthroughs, and photo reviews.
  • Develop VM adaptation options tailored to diverse store profiles, assortments, and layouts, while maintaining brand integrity.
  • Provide VM support to execute launches, updates, and activations, ensuring flawless in-store implementation.
  • Train and develop store teams on VM principles, ensuring consistency and high standards across all locations.
  • Collaborate with Merchandising, Planning, and Allocation teams to align VM directives with retail product assortment during GTM.
  • Partner with In-Store Experience team to create engaging retail assets.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for Omni-channel events and marketing moments.
  • Oversee VM planning and execution for new store openings, including layout, assortment, and training.
  • Initiate the development and implementation of new VM tools and processes to elevate the brand’s visual presence. Regularly gather feedback from retail teams to optimize VM strategies and foster collaboration.
