Description:
COMMITMENT:
- Adhere to CMHA’s written volunteer policies and procedures
- Agree to a minimum of six months of volunteer placement with a minimum of 2 half days (3.5 hrs.) per week.
- Attend relevant meetings as needed (including site meetings, 1-1 meetings, team meetings, etc.)
- Attend volunteer schedule as agreed with staff supervisor
- Be aware of and follow all health and safety procedures
- Complete a Vulnerable Sector Screening Check
- Inform the supervisor immediately of concerns regarding the welfare of clients or volunteers
- Inform supervisor of incident(s) within 24 hrs.
- Maintains confidentiality with respect to information about clients, family members, and others
- Notify program coordinators, in advance if you are not able to come as scheduled
- Regularly check the CMHA email account
- Submit volunteer hours on UltiPro on a bi-weekly basis

Responsibilities:
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
To provide administrative support to the Support for Depression / Family & Caregiver Education Coordinator regarding group administration, coordinating co-facilitator volunteers, and supporting the training of new volunteers.
The Volunteer is expected to commit to a minimum of two, 3.5-hour shifts. Shift hours should be performed Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30 and 4:30.
DUTIES:
- Approving/monitoring of volunteer hours and completing volunteer check-ins
- Assist in the scheduling and facilitating of volunteer training
- Complete word processing tasks as required
- Filing, including setting up new files, as requested
- Photocopying, scanning and faxing
- Prepare documents, packages, and handouts for distribution
- Support the coordinator in reviewing/interviewing potential new volunteers
