Do you want to help change the lives of children and young people in difficult living conditions? Read for Life creates a desire to read for children and young people in care, and we need your help.
Do you also love books? Do you know how much of a difference the right reading experience can make? Then, as a volunteer at Læs for Lifet, you can help to open the world of books to young people in difficult living conditions and increase their desire to read.
Read for Life is looking for new volunteers who can especially help with books for older teenagers, so you must have:
Knowledge of comics, fantasy or Young Adult. It’s perfectly fine if you mostly read in English – many in our target group do too.
Desire to arrange, sort and alphabetize our large book collection - and not least to find the right book for a young person
Possibility to put in at least 2-3 hours every 2 weeks within our fixed opening hours: Tuesday 12–15, Wednesday 12–17 and Thursday 12–15.
