Description:
Do you want to be part of a project in Bolivia whose goal is to strengthen the education system through education with a focus on vulnerable population groups and with respect for everyone regardless of gender, ethnicity and cultural backgro…
The project is part of AXIS’ overall strategy to ensure quality education in the countries where we work. AXIS collaborates with local partners as part of an effort to strengthen context-based teaching, student-involved teaching methods and thereby a strong civil society. The project has growing pains, and therefore we are looking for new volunteers who can contribute to further development.
As a project coordinator, you are part of a small team whose responsibility is to take care of the Danish part of the project. This means that you, among other things, will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the project (qualitatively as well as financially) and you are an ongoing sparring partner for our local partner. Together with partner and the secretariat in AXIS, you also help write status reports.
Who are you
You are passionate about working within the development industry and strengthening your skills in project management and development work - preferably with a focus on education, women, children and young people.
You want to travel to visit/see the project in order to monitor and evaluate the project’s development
You are curious about the local context (it is a plus if you have prior knowledge, but it is not a prerequisite).
You have time to spend an average of 3 hours a week volunteering. Project challenges often come in waves, so there may be periods when the number of hours varies.
Qualifications and Terms
We therefore need a committed person who speaks and writes Spanish. It is an advantage to have experience in project management, organizational development and the development industry, but not a requirement. Knowledge of the project’s focus area is an advantage. As mentioned, you must be willing to join a team.
Who are we
You will be part of an exciting Danish development organization that is built on volunteerism and committed volunteers. We meet at coordinator evenings several times a year and through your work you will get to know project management and project management tools. You will also have the opportunity to participate in courses both in AXIS and in the various NGO networks that AXIS is part of.
Does this sound like something for you or do you want to hear more? Then finally contact us via button, “Contact the Organisation”.
We are looking forward to hear from you.
