Volunteer Supportive Care

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A genuine desire to help others and a compassionate, non-judgmental attitude.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Ability to provide support without imposing personal beliefs or advice.
• Previous experience in counseling, social work, or a related field is a plus, but not required.
• Willingness to complete training provided by our organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Offer empathetic listening and emotional support to individuals and families experiencing grief.
• Assist in facilitating support group meetings, either in-person or virtually.
• Provide resources and information about coping strategies and available services.
• Help organize and participate in community outreach events aimed at raising awareness about grief and bereavement.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of all participants.
