JOB SPECIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in account management, customer success, or business development, preferably within the commercial furniture, design, or construction industries.
  • Experience managing, developing, and coaching a team.
  • Proven experience in managing and growing key accounts while leading a high-performing team.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience and understanding of the commercial furniture industry, including manufacturers, sales process, pricing economics, product and service.
  • Expertise in client relationship management and a deep understanding of how to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Experience with CRM platforms and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a client-centric mindset.
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and driving account growth.
    Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes. Account managers.
    Work Environment: Working Design Studio – mostly quiet office environment with occasional customer tours. The noise level in the work environment is typical of most office environments with telephones, personal interruptions, and background noises. Occasional travel to local job sites for client meetings, finish selections and field verification is also required in this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
  • Establish clear sales goals and KPIs, and provide regular performance assessments to ensure objectives are met.
  • Drive the development and execution of strategic account plans to increase market share and deepen relationships with key clients.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to set goals for account expansion and client satisfaction.
  • Lead negotiations with clients and vendors - understanding service and product economics, and drive profitable sales and margins for the business.
  • Ensure that client feedback and insights are incorporated into long-term strategic planning for product and service offerings.
  • Manage relationships and performance of key furniture manufacturers, partnering to deliver a superior client experience in product, pricing, and service.
