REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 15+ years of relevant work experience
- 5+ years leadership experience in a total rewards role
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively across all areas of the business
- Problem solver mindset with the ability to multi-task and meet constantly changing deadlines
- Advanced computer skills, including mastery of Excel and PowerPoint
Responsibilities:
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:
The VP, Total Rewards will be responsible for the continued strategic planning, design, and implementation of a comprehensive Total Rewards strategy and programs companywide. This role will manage and develop various total rewards programs and activities including base pay, incentive pay, equity, surveys, and compensation analytics. Additional responsibilities include job revisions, market pricing, and maintaining salary structures. The VP Total Rewards will be responsible for executive compensation, designing, implementing, and the administration of compensation and benefits programs, policies, and procedures to ensure they are current, competitive, and in compliance with legal requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive total rewards strategy that is aligned with the business strategy and growth trajectory of the company
- Help to build a contemporary compensation and benefits infrastructure to ensure that the company attracts and retains the best and brightest talent from the industry.
- Own content planning and delivery for key agenda items at the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors; provide information and context so that the Compensation Committee members have the information to make relevant decisions related to executive compensation.
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of competitive compensation programs, including base pay, variable pay, equity incentives, and executive compensation.
- Utilize data analytics and benchmarking to make informed decisions about the total rewards evolving landscape and regularly reviewing and adjusting programs to remain competitive.
- Examine and present to the executive team compensation themes and pay gaps for their respective teams
- Analyze and deliver reporting and cost projections to support the recommendation of benefit plan changes, adding new benefits and ensuring program governance
- Maintain expertise and continual assessment and research of market trends and recommends considerations for change to current programs by building business cases and calculating the impact on budgets

- Work collaboratively with corporate functions to build support of compensation processes within the framework available
- Serve as a partner with Talent Acquisition team to determine appropriate base and incentive pay for new hire offers; determines appropriate response to requests for retention and signing bonuses, along with recommendations for new positions and promotions supported by internal equity, pay guidelines, and external competitive benchmarks
- Lead the transition out of a PEO to Workday
