We also tap into the Power of Berkley and can bring bespoke offerings via operating units such as EPLI, Crime, Contractors Professional, MPL, Jewelry and more. We distribute through brokers or direct and enjoy partners such as carriers, MGAs, PAs, agents, captives, embedded partners & more.
Responsibilities:
Position is responsible for setting Berkley Re Solutions Turnkey marketing and sales strategy through direct interaction with BRTS leadership and our carriers, brokers and PA/MGA’s. This includes defining marketing, sales and client servicing strategies, establishing marketing and sales analysis, coaching and development of assigned relationships which includes existing and new partnerships. Part of the leadership team for Turnkey with a voice in direction/strategy.
- Sets marketing and sales strategy that is aligned to the BRTS strategy.
- Collaborates with senior leadership to create, implement, and execute prospecting plans with profit & loss responsibility for the assigned segments.
- Works with assigned AE’s and senior leadership to establish sales and profit goals by deepening and expanding existing relationships.
- Designs and recommends sales programs and sets short- term and long-term priorities, strategies and tactics for each core channel: reinsurance broker, carrier and PA/MGA channels.
- Recommends product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential. Acts as advisor to underwriting team regarding projects, tasks, and operations.
- Coordinate marketing budget and analyze and interpret financial reports and develop plans to execute on findings.
- Work to establish and maintain key association relationships with NAMIC and state organizations and Farm Bureau organizations.
- Work with product development team to provide information to assist in the quoting process with the goal of refining and streamlining.
- Monitor sales results versus plan. Develop necessary reporting tools and report results monthly.
- Coordination for all sales & marketing training, vendor training, and other educational opportunities
- Work with senior leadership to own and develop Power of Berkley relationships where we bring their products to our distribution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7–10+ years of reinsurance market experience involving underwriting and marketing
- Basic knowledge and understanding of reinsurance industry, underwriting standards, and competitive practices
- Basic knowledge and understanding of financial pricing models, methodology, and tools
- Demonstrated experience building and cultivating relationships with internal and external contacts
- Solid knowledge and understanding of profitability, growth, and risk concepts
- Understanding of advanced financial and statistical analysis techniques including actuarial techniques
- Knowledge of property, casualty and turnkey reinsurance
