Description:
We are on the hunt for a VP/Director of Finance to join our team in the manufacturing industry, based in Plano, Texas. In this role, you will be leading the finance function, driving financial performance, and leading continuous improvement initiatives across multiple manufacturing sites. This role plays a pivotal part in managing all aspects of financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Lead all financial activities for North American manufacturing sites, this includes financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning.
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s objectives and business goals.
- Provide leadership and oversee all finance and accounting activities across manufacturing sites, ensuring financial accuracy.
- Assume full P& L responsibility for multiple North American sites, focusing on profitability and cost optimization.
- Conduct financial performance reviews with plant leadership, focusing on cost control, margin improvement, and productivity gains.
- Develop and monitor financial KPIs to assess site performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Drive cost efficiency initiatives and lead financial process improvements to increase profitability and reduce operational costs.
- Oversee standard cost accounting, ensuring accuracy of costing models and the appropriate allocation of direct and indirect costs.
- Manage inventory controls and valuation processes, ensuring compliance with company standards and financial integrity.
- Ensure proper financial reporting and internal controls at the plant level, focusing on accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance.
- Partner with operations and plant managers to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve productivity, and optimize inventory management.
- Lead process improvement initiatives across financial operations, focusing on increasing efficiency, streamlining processes, and reducing waste.
- Champion the adoption of best practices in financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes and improvements that align with corporate objectives and drive continuous improvement in financial operations.
- Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, development, and coaching to ensure high performance.
- Must hold a VP/Director of Finance title or similar for at least 10 years
- Proficiency in annual budget planning and execution
- Experience with auditing and budget processes
- Skilled in budgeting and forecasting
- Expertise in standard cost accounting practices
- Familiarity with annual inventory management
- Proven track record of continuous process improvement
- Demonstrated success in leading process improvement initiatives
- Ability to develop and maintain KPI reporting systems
