Description:

We are offering an opportunity for a Operations Finance Director to join our team located in Madison, Indiana. The role is within the manufacturing industry and requires a focus on improving productivity and profitability through process improvements and rigorous action with operational scorecards/metrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive process improvements and establish action with operational scorecards/metrics in collaboration with Operations and Supply Chain leaders.
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts, report and analyze monthly financial performance and closely liaise with plant management to improve operational performance.
  • Partner with plant leadership teams to identify and implement opportunities for productivity increase and cost savings.
  • Improve the tools and processes used for management reporting to provide timely, relevant financial information for decision-making, aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including revenue, cost of sales, expenses, capital expenditures, free cash flow, and other relevant areas.
  • Provide detailed commentary and presentations on financial performance trends and root cause analysis of forecast/plan variances.
  • Oversee cost accounting activities to maintain and improve standard costing processes.
  • Support planning to understand capacity versus demand in forecast and strategic plan processes.
  • Improve inventory accuracy through monitoring and enforcement of cycle count program.
  • Develop and utilize robust analytical tools to identify areas for operational efficiency improvements and cost savings.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing events, Gemba walks and other cost reduction initiatives.
  • Provide mentoring, leadership, and development within the finance team.
  • Interact effectively with internal and external personnel while maintaining a high level of confidentiality with all information obtained.
  • Must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in a finance leadership role
  • Proven expertise in accounting functions and budget processes
  • Proficiency in standard cost system and standard cost accounting required
  • Experience in lean manufacturing and manufacturing industries
  • Ability to develop financial models and perform financial modeling
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master’s degree or CPA preferred
  • Demonstrated strategic planning and business development skills
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality.
