  • Act as a trusted Finance Business Partner to the CEO, CFO, CTO, and Leadership Team on strategic transformation efforts
  • Design and deliver digestible quantitative outputs that consider the qualitative and operation elements surrounding initiatives, measure their progress, and provide a view on overall financial implications (ex: ROI)
  • Proactively challenge and optimize the status quo Finance workflows to generate timely and decision-grade reporting deliverables
  • Lead the Finance function and own its key reporting deliverables – these include budgets, reforecasts, monthly board reporting and presentations
  • Lead planning of content and delivery of management packs and presentations for the Portfolio CEO & CFO, Brand MD, and Group Finance
  • Analyze sales/revenue/profit trends, KPI reporting, and the outlook for the financial year to provide strategic recommendations to the brand leads
  • Management, mentoring and development of a small team (2)
  • When required, carry-out financial due diligence on any potential M&A activity and provide financial analysis on any potential disposals, including involvement in management presentations
  • Strategic review and implementation of compensation plans (commission/bonus)

The role will require the candidate appreciate the deliverables-oriented environment and therefore a varying degree of demands and work volumes.

Education / Qualifications / Work experience

  • Qualified Accountant (CPA) preferred and finance managerial skills
  • Must have a proven track-record of evolving business models and reporting to reflect the changing nature of modern business and customer requirements to drive improved business performance
  • Is execution-focused and is committed to delivering on time and at pace
  • Someone who thinks deeply to understand business issues and then who acts decisively
  • Strong understanding of subscription and data business models for information services
  • Someone who demonstrates a continuous improvement mind-set and who always challenges the status quo.
  • A senior finance professional with a performance mind-set, who thrives in complex environments and drives a transformational agenda.
  • Provision of leadership with regards to managing the finance function, and achievement of financial and related productivity targets. Experience standing up a best-in-class Finance function preferred
  • High level of analytical skills and financially astute
  • Experience designing and implementing short/medium/long term financial planning, with the ability to assess risk and develop mitigation strategies
  • Widely respected as a Finance expert within the business
  • Excellent influencing capability in driving key decisions through to successful conclusions
  • Proficient Excel skills, comfortable using PowerPoint and confident at presenting
