JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Our Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) business is the number one global supplier of contrast media and molecular imaging agents used to enhance medical imaging exams. Used throughout all major disease area diagnostic and treatment pathways, PDx products support three patients every second around the world.
Molecular Imaging is a strategic Business unit for PDx business where we see significant growth potential for the use of Molecular Imaging to enable precision health. We have a foundation of established proprietary products and now plan to build on this significantly with the development and launch of a growing innovative pipeline of products that will enable better diagnostic decisions and clinical outcomes across Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, Cardiology and Oncology. We are also partnering with Pharma Companies and the research community to create companion diagnostic solutions that support patient selection and monitoring through the development of immuno-oncology therapies. Strengthening our partnerships with contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) and nuclear pharmacies is a critical success factor for us and this newly created role will be critical to ensuring the successful implementation of our strategy for both our mature portfolio and our new product introductions.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Masters’ degree in Science or Engineering.
  • A recognized senior leader, leading complex operations across multi manufacturing sites, influence senior management and implement world class supply chain strategy and long-term capacity planning.
  • The incumbent should be able to influence and communicate well with all levels of the organization, including executive leadership and external partners.
  • Deep experience in a similar role gained in a GMP regulated Life Science, Medtech, or Food Industry, or similar high-tech regulated environment.
  • Eager to lead transformation with a history of owning and implementing changes within an organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in an ambiguous environment.
  • Strong understanding of change management to build momentum and excitement for transformational changes across the business.
  • Experienced in process FMEA and production process validation (IQ, OQ, PQ).
  • Strong analytical skills capable of evaluating details and improving production processes.
  • Comfortable in presenting to executives a complex transformation in a concise and simple way and secure their buy in and support.
  • Demonstrated hands on LEAN practitioner, energized to motivate and lead others through problem solving, KAIZEN events and Hoshin Kanri.
  • Strong strategic thinking and financial acumen. Experienced in cost of goods analyses.
  • Mentoring a mindset of continuous improvement to achieve the best performance results.
    This role can be located remotely in EU.

Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY:

As Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) Molecular Imaging (MI) Operations leader, you will be a key member of the PDx Integrated Supply Chain leadership team. A multi-plant leadership role managing a complex manufacturing operation as well as 4 Radio Pharmacies site network and leading a PET supply chain organization across the region.
The role is responsible for leading manufacturing operations around GE Healthcare imperatives, and meeting all operational defined targets such as Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. Ability to travel globally (40%).
Next to the responsibility for leading the manufacturing operations, you will lead the transformation of the Global MI Operations organization. Such transformation entails footprint optimalization (including closing sites), integration of acquisitions into your current organization, to build up a responsive PET supply chain organization within International/China markets and professionalize our processes around S&OP, Engineering and LEAN within MI. International/China MI Operations organization is about 700 employees working across the globe and as a leader you have 5 direct reports.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Role model Safety across the organization and implement highest standards to enable and sustain a safe work environment.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive molecular imaging strategy aligned with the global organization’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for growth, expansion, and innovation in molecular imaging services, particularly in China.
  • This role involves strategic leadership, operational excellence, and financial performance management to ensure the highest quality of patient care and delivery performance.
  • Leading teams towards execution of Business Goals applying Lean Manufacturing methodologies to improve overall customer experience and variable cost productivity VCP.
  • Responsible to develop, implement and adjust manufacturing strategy and long-term capacity plan to achieve all customer commitments.
  • Drive product quality, process improvements and regulatory compliance within the region.
  • Develop and deliver reliable and resilient supply chain while driving productivity for the business to support margin expansion.
  • Analyse new scenarios and quantify the performance with end-to-end scope for management decisions working closely together with adjacent functions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes impacting molecular imaging.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, regulatory bodies, and industry partners.
  • Ensure manufacturing and technical standards, processes and skills are continuously implemented, maintained and improved to achieve best in industry performance.
  • Prioritize and drive value stream performance improvements and digitization.
