Vice President of Accounting/Finance

Our client a, private investment management firm, in the Twin Cities is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Accounting/Finance. In this position you will be instrumental in managing the firm’s various investment strategies. Pivotal to this role is overseeing all aspects of financial reporting, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis. Additionally, this role involves managing and mentoring a team of finance/accounting professionals and providing strategic guidance to facilitate the firm’s ambitious growth objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Significant experience (5+ years) in Finance/Accounting, preferably in the financial services industry.
Prior experience as a Vice President of Finance, Controller, or Director of Finance.
Strong leadership skills.
Comprehensive knowledge of financial planning and analysis.
CPA certification is preferred.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A)
  • Strong skills in Financial Reporting
  • Experience with Month End Close procedures
  • Proficient in Strategic Planning and execution
  • Experience in Fund Administration and Fund Accounting
  • Proven Leadership Skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team
  • Track record of implementing Process Improvement initiatives
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • CPA preferred
