Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a VP of Accounting in our hotel and restaurant chain located in San Diego, California, 92130, United States. This role primarily involves leading our accounting team, improving accounting processes, and providing financial forecasts and operational budgets to the executive team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all general ledger and accounting activities
  • Plan and coordinate all financial and accounting operations including budget, financial forecasts, audit, and taxes
  • Develop and implement protocols for asset liability reconciliation, accounting, and auditing procedures
  • Analyze financial data, and prepare accurate profit and loss statements
  • Ensure all accounting procedures comply with federal and state law and company policies
  • Regularly evaluate the efficiency of accounting procedures, make improvements and maintain standards
  • Prepare and present forecasting trends and financial statements to the executive team
  • Ensure appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained
  • Oversee regular payroll activities including salary changes, bonus, commission calculations, and payroll adjustments
  • Proficiency in MS Dynamics 365 Business Central and ability to manage accounting teams for multiple entities.
  • Must possess strong skills in Auditing and Budget Processes
  • Proficiency in using MS Dynamics 365 Business Central is required
  • Experience in handling Multiple Entities is essential
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required; Master’s degree or CPA is preferred
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably at a senior level
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of all legal regulations relating to accounting and financial processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards
  • Ability to strategize and make sound financial decisions for the company
  • Strong understanding of tax codes and laws
  • Knowledge of payroll systems and procedures.
