Description:

We are looking for a senior technology leader in a FinTech remote-first SaaS company. You’ll join a fast growing organization serving over 8000 clients with multiple products. The VP of Engineering Operations leads multiple functions and oversees many systems across the organization. Your goal is to drive improvements and alignment of security, system administration, infrastructure, and technology standards. You’ll be shaping and delivering the technology roadmap, driving improvement, and continuously evaluating effectiveness. This person will handle major third-party vendor relationships, including selection, negotiations, implementations, and evaluations.

WHAT EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS WE NEED YOU TO HAVE:

  • 10+ years of experience within technology, with experience in a senior leadership role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven track record in leading process improvement projects, with familiarity in Agile methodology
  • Experience leading remote teams
  • Experience in managing vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and performance evaluations
  • Superior communication and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of the organization

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a leader to the organization by guiding strategic direction, setting technical standards, and driving innovation across all technology initiatives
  • Lead and oversee the IT, Systems, Data, and Information Security and Compliance teams, with a focus on a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Develop and manage the organizational technical roadmap, aligning with business objectives and ensuring measurable efficiency and scalability
  • Formulate and deploy long-term strategic plans for acquiring and enabling efficient and cost-effective technologies
  • Keep up-to-date with industry regulations and compliance standards, ensuring that all technology operations adhere to relevant standards and laws
  • Negotiate contracts, manage vendor performance, and ensure that service level agreements are met
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of technology vendors to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic goals, including assessing their capabilities, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
  • Manage and optimize third-party integrations, ensuring seamless connectivity with all relevant systems
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication with stakeholders, leaders, and teams across the organization to ensure alignment on technology initiatives, project goals, and operational priorities.
  • Identify, lead, and implement process improvement initiatives to streamline technology operations and enhance overall efficiency
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the technology team by encouraging innovation and adopting new methodologies
