With approximately 300 team members and sophisticated customers around the world, Greenlight Innovation is a well-established, privately-owned global leader in testing equipment for specific clean energy technologies.
To help Greenlight prepare for a new phase of impact, growth, and governance, we are now seeking a business-oriented VP, Finance to become a key member of the senior leadership team, and report directly to the Managing Director.
In this role, you will lead the finance function of a high growth, clean technology company, which brings a rare combination of fully commercialized, proven technology with a solid and growing global customer base - coupled with a strong sense of purpose and camaraderie.

REQUIRED TO QUALIFY:

  • Robust financial leadership experience involving strategic business management, financial planning & analysis, and high-impact decision making.
  • Exposure to B2B industry involving global supply chains, cost optimization, and international customers/operations.
  • Demonstrated management of a finance team (likely 4+).
  • Direct experience with IFRS reporting requirements.
  • Strong overall knowledge of FP&A, treasury, risk management, audit, taxation, financial reporting and controllership.
  • CPA designation with likely 10+ years in industry.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Overview: Lead the finance function and team, while contributing to the business as a key member of the senior leadership team. Oversee financial reporting, analysis, and leadership to support business decision making. Develop financial policies, systems, and procedures. Proactively work with senior management team to support quality, profitability, growth, and cost optimization. Specific areas of ownership include:

  • Leadership: lead and develop an experienced and collaborative finance team, monitoring all financial affairs of the company, which include, budgeting, audit, taxation, planning and analysis, capital investment, treasury, risk management, credit, and collections.
  • Financial operations and reporting: oversight of the processes, and tools to ensure seamless financial operations and reporting to support the business: develop and support control mechanisms to ensure revenue recognition and reporting under IFRS standards; oversee reporting requirements to AVL GmbH, the privately-owned Austrian parent company.
  • Financial planning & analysis: collaboratively lead the annual and quarterly planning & budgeting process; lead operational and capital budgeting.
  • Taxation & regulatory: oversee corporate tax and SRED claims filing; ensure compliance with local and foreign tax laws and financial regulations.
  • Treasury: plan and manage cash and working capital levels; oversee the foreign exchange heading strategy.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Negotiation: Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders - including Board members, the Greenlight executive team, finance leaders/colleagues in AVL, as well as audit, insurance, banking, and technology providers. Negotiate & manage bank and/or third-party financing packages. Work with supply chain to manage and negotiate financial terms of key suppliers.
  • Strategy: participate with senior management to develop and execute company strategy and direction.
  • Information Technology: oversee IT function and lead IT team; participate in implementation of SAP financial module (led by AVL project manager).
