As a VP of Product, you are tasked with leading and maturing our product and engineering functions. As an Academy, our product combines e-learning content (produced in the Content department) with a technological solution (created by our engineering team). Our content is why our clients buy from us, while our platform enables and supplements this.

In this role, you are responsible for product leadership, vision, strategy, and roadmap, as you are leading the charge to make AIHR more product-led. Furthermore, your responsibilities include:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the overall strategy for the Product & Engineering department in alignment with the company’s vision and objectives.
• Cross-Functional Coordination & Communication: Facilitate collaboration between the Product and Engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of product vision and technical execution. Ensure management meetings with managers are done on a regular basis; facilitate efficient meetings.
• Talent Development: Attract, retain, and develop top talent within the Product & Engineering teams, promoting professional growth and leadership development.
• Resource Management: Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and personnel management to optimize departmental performance.
• Innovation and Growth: Drive innovation by fostering a culture of creativity, continuous improvement, and the adoption of relevant emerging technologies.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders, including customers, executives, and partners, to ensure product and engineering efforts align with market needs and business goals.
• Department Development and Performance Management: Create and maintain organizational structures that support growth and adaptability. Provide coaching and mentorship to team members, foster professional growth, conduct regular morale surveys, execute performance management systems to set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.

Secondary responsibilities include:

• Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Product & Engineering department (6 and 15 members respectively) to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate these risks within product management, development, and technical operations.
• Operational Efficiency: Streamline processes and improve operational efficiencies within the department to enhance productivity and output quality.
• Customer Feedback Integration: Ensure customer feedback is effectively integrated into product development and improvement cycles.
