WHAT ARE THE KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES?

  • Develop, implement, and execute the operations and supply chain strategies to align with EBH’s growth objectives.
  • Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency, including logistics, transportation, facilities, warehouse automation, process optimization, safety, and quality.
  • Create multi-year facilities roadmaps (owned and leased) in alignment with company growth, acquisition, and integration strategies.
  • The VP of Operations is a forward-thinking leader who can collaborate effectively, demonstrate strategic leadership, foster motivation, coach, mentor, and inspire among the leadership and branch teams.
  • Drive business process improvement and compliance by aligning with ISO 9001 guidelines and developing operational policies and procedures that enhance health & safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement systems, guidelines, training plans, measurements, and controls based on operationally excellent and people-focused best practices.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, vendors, suppliers, and stakeholders to drive business development, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Vice President of Operations is an integral member of the Executive Leadership Team and plays a crucial role in shaping and guiding our company’s operational strategy and execution. Reporting to the President and CEO, the Vice President (VP) of Operations will collaborate with key stakeholders and operations staff to optimize our end-to-end supply chain processes, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, innovation, and scalability.
By fostering a culture of continuous improvement, the VP of Operations will drive operational excellence, contribute to our competitive advantage, and support our organization’s overarching goals. This role demands a seasoned leader who can lead high-performing teams to seamlessly integrate logistics, transportation, and warehouse management across our multi-location, omnichannel B2B wholesale operations.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THIS ROLE?

  • Post-secondary education or related experience (>10 years) in Operations and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Competencies associated with an MBA and/or other Operational designations are considered an asset.
  • Proven leadership expertise in strategic operations and supply chain management, preferably in a B2B wholesaler or electrical distributor setting.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with experience managing profit and loss statements (P&L) and driving profitable growth.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Proficient and high level of computer applications and software development education or the equivalent combination of education and experience working in this capacity with warehousing software programs.
  • 10+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in data analytics and performance metrics with a focus on analyzing transportation logistics and facility operations/space utilization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication.
  • Proven ability to form strategic partnerships, build relationships, respect cultural diversity, and be inclusive and collaborative.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing teams focused on integrated sales and marketing strategies, high-performing branch leadership, inventory asset management, e-commerce sales, and strategic planning.
  • Willingness to travel across Canada as needed for business operations.
  • Active involvement in community engagement activities is highly valued.
