VP - Real Estate Investments

Venture Search is partnered with a UAE based family office/conglomerate, who are hiring for a VP of Real Estate Investments.
Embedded within the private markets team, this will be the most senior Real Estate specific role on the team, overseeing a team of 3.
Investments are GCC focused, across Directs, Funds and Co-investments. This person will also be responsible for new deal origination, and advising on ways to optimize the existing portfolio.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 12 years experience in Real Estate Investment
• Extensive experience in end-to-end real asset transactions, including income producing, and development.
• Strong research, modelling, and analytical skills.
• GCC Real Estate investment experience is preferred but not mandatory
• Arabic speaking would be a preference

• Assist in development of real estate division strategy, budget, and management reporting
• Profile investment themes and approaches and take a leading role in research and analysis on prospective investments
• Leverage existing network of relationships to originate, due diligence & execution of a variety of real estate funds, direct, and co-investment opportunities globally
• Performing complex financial analysis and valuations on existing assets/investments (including leasing scenarios, Capex implementation feasibilities, sales, redevelopment etc.)
• Lead and oversee key functions of a transaction including financial modelling, IC presentations, due diligence, and structuring.
• Coordinate the execution of investment transactions across all parties involved (e.g., legal counsel, 3rd party diligence providers, internal operations, and portfolio companies)
• Assist in negotiations with potential partners including, but not limited to letters of intent, purchase agreements, JV agreements, etc.
• Develop trust-based counselling relationship with portfolio executives and senior leadership
• Monitor performance and risk profile of existing portfolio investments and recommend monetization strategy
• Key participant in preparing information for the investment committee
• Create and maintain deal flow databases by identifying potential targets and preparing company specific due diligence reports and analysis
• Mentor and train analysts and associates in developing financial and valuation models.
• Engage, prepare, and participate in board meetings of Portfolio Companies
