DESCRIPTION
The Vice President, Sales is responsible for building and leading a strong UK inside and external Sales and Account Management team, driving agreed KPIs, embedding a best-in-class high performance sales culture and ensuring best practice alignment across the business. The successful role incumbent will report into the Global Chief Revenue Officer, driving Annual Recurring Revenue growth, retention, market share and identifying new opportunities across the UK market.
The Vice President, Sales, based full time from our Paddington, London office, will initially focus on attracting and recruiting a strong result focused Sales team, as well as leading the existing team members. This position is a hands-on management role that requires strong influencing skills, critical thinking and a determined approach to achieving revenue targets.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE
- 10+ years’ experience in sales leadership with a proven track record of success – exceeding revenue growth targets, building a high performing team and developing lasting customer relationships
- 5+ years’ experience in direct client relationship management
- B2B legal software or SaaS specific sales management experience is preferred
- Proven experience in driving revenue, strategic planning, and team management
- Committed to building a performance-driven culture of accountability, transparency and accessibility
- Strategic thinking skills; effective account planning, sales negotiation and closing skills
- Experience leading and supporting large, strategic business change
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, rapidly changing technology environment, and to complete multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of legal markets, legal information needs and online legal products is a plus
- Experience in recruiting and building a high performing internal and external Sales team.
- Able to travel domestically and internationally when required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, data analytics and Salesforce CRM
- Strong communication and influencing skills.
- Process driven with the ability to utilise data to analyse trends, make decisions and improve practices.
- Sound organisational skills
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
Responsibilities:
- Deliver financial and strategic objectives for growth through cross-sell/up-sell, net new customer acquisitions and value capture
- Develop strong relationships with decision makers and influencers within key customers and prospects.
- Create and execute strategic initiatives by mobilizing and leading a team of sales reps to acquire and optimize sales and renewal opportunities
- Setting department objectives that align with the global Sales organisation goals and overall business strategy
- Closely manages sales and renewal pipeline health and development, with clear metrics and accountabilities, and brings rigorous sales process and coaching to create sales excellence
- Collaborates with the Sales Leadership, Product, Marketing and Sales Operations in management and execution of plans
- Instilling a culture of productivity and high performance by developing and motivating a team of Sales professionals.
- Utilising systems and tools to monitor KPIs, track pipeline funnel and provide reports to senior leadership.
- Attracting, onboarding, and developing A+ sales talent and embedding a strong sales culture.
- Continuously looking for opportunities to improve Sales practices and processes
