JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or Degree holder in Game Development, Computer Science, or related real-time interactive application development with minimum 3 years of working experience in VR and possess a strong portfolio.
  • Proficiency in programming languages blueprint, C++ and C#.
  • Familiar with game/VR development applications such as Unity3D and Unreal Engine.
  • Familiar with other VR tools such as Oculus SDK, Web VR/XR.
  • Familiar with VR hardware such as Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, or similar technologies.
  • Knowledge of 3D modelling tool such as Blender and Adobe Creation Cloud.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills, able to work independently and in a team.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

The VR/Educational Media Developer reports directly to the AV manager. The role of VR/Educational Media Developer is to develop VR projects on VR headsets, native application-based and web-based AR/VR experience to support learning and teaching. In addition, the VR/Educational Media Developer is also expected to support educational content development. The candidate is expected to attend project meetings, scope the project requirements, plan for necessary resources in order meet the expectations of the stakeholders.
The candidate should be proficient in programming languages and framework, and good interpersonal communication skills.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

VR/Educational Media Developer is responsible for the timely completion of VR projects and media assets creation in meeting the requirements of SUSS stakeholders, as well as to update and maintenance of VR projects.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To collaborate with designers, content developers, and project managers to develop VR experiences and educational media assets.
  • To work with various stakeholders to design, brainstorm and review VR experiences and educational media assets.
  • To conduct UAT, test, debug and fix errors of VR applications across all platforms.
  • To explore and evaluate the latest VR development tools, best practices and VR devices.
  • To propose and suggest usage of VR experience in education.
  • To train and upskill EMR colleagues on VR development and media assets creation.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To coordinate annual budget forecast and procurement of hardware and software needed for VR experience.
  • To support the department in annual workplan and new initiatives.
