Your Profile
We are looking for an individual with a completed university degree in business, engineering or a related discipline as well as the special competence for scientific work, which is normally proven by a doctorate preferred.

The individual has to represent technical marketing and communication in teaching and research in a qualified manor. We expect relevant expertise and experience in several of the following topics:

  • Marketing, especially investment products marketing
  • Product management
  • Technical sales
  • Communication and modern communication technology in business and industrial processes
  • Development of business process under consideration of human, organization and technology

The subject areas are to be represented both in teaching and in applied research. Additionally, please add a teaching and research concept to your application (up to 2 pages). We expect very good didactical skills as well as the willingness to participate in the exchange with our international partner universities and to offer courses in English. In addition, we expect committed participation in teaching basic subjects and possibly giving lectures in related subject areas. Besides our full-time students, we have an increasing amount of part-time students. Therefore, we expect you to take over courses on Saturdays occasionally and supervise students.
We expect the applicant to integrate themselves well into the existing team both professionally and personally, to get involved in the academic self-administration of our university and to enjoy imparting knowledge from their own professional experience to the students.
The university has a large number of collaborations with universities and research institutions such as Max Planck Institutes and Fraunhofer Institutes as well as companies. Intensifying and expanding these collaborations is highly desired.
Active participation in the university’s research activities is desired. In this context, we strive to increase third-party funding and the number of cooperative doctorates.
We advocate a supervision concept that requires a high level of presence of the teaching staff at the university campus.
German language skills (at least level C1) and English language skills are required. Teaching language ist mainly German.
The hiring requirements for professors are regulated in Sec 49 of the Higher Education Act of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate.
