W3-PROFESSORSHIP „VISUAL COMPUTING“ (M/F/D)
is vacant by April 1, 2026.
We are looking for a personality who is internationally recognized for outstanding research achievements. The research topic should be in the field of Applied Computer Science or a related area with a strong focus on the processing of graphical resources. Particularly, the following areas should be addressed:
- Computer Graphics (3D modeling, rendering, animation, and simulation)
- HCI (Augmented and Virtual Reality as well as user-oriented interfaces)
- Machine Learning for visual data and Computer Vision (automatic recognition and classification as well as GenerativeModels - including Generative Adversarial Networks)
- Data visualization and analysis (interpretation and representation of large, complex data sets as well as interaction techniques for dynamic exploration and analysis of data)
- Aspect-oriented visualization and processing (methods for representing information with spatial and temporal references, medical image processing)
- Collaborative visualization in multi-user environments
Your teaching will cover essential courses in the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs.
