1 ‑ Part Time (.6) ‑ Ward Clerk
2C Cardiology‑Medical Inpatient Unit
Reporting to the Manager ‑ Cardiology & General Medicine, the Ward Clerk will be responsible for providing a full
range of clerical support services for the 2C ‑ Medical Unit.
Qualifications:
* Client‑focused communication skills; good interpersonal, organizational, and telephone skills
* Demonstrated good time management skills
* Ability to “multi‑task” to ensure an effective clerical work flow process on a busy patient care unit.
* Demonstrated ability to assist with unit budget process by utilizing effective supply purchase and inventory control
* Initiative with the ability to work with a minimum of supervision
* Working knowledge of medical terminology, processing medical orders, payroll, admission and discharge, and
transfer process.
* Previous Ward Clerk experience
* Previous experience with gathering and compiling statistical data
* Must have computer experience particularly the area of data compilation and entry
* Meditech training and competency in order entry in an electronic format is required
Salary Range: $26.588 to 27.221
