Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior registered nurse to join the HCOP team as Ward Manager on Ward D58.
We are looking for a visible leader who is a professional role model dedicated to high standards of care and patient safety. Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills with experience of managing change.
Ward D58 is a specialty ward of Health Care of Older People (HCOP) based in the Queens Medical Centre. We are committed to providing the best care for older people with a stable, well supported and motivated workforce. Our pathways and treatment of our vulnerable patient group are at the leading edge within the field. We are innovative and constantly looking for ways to improve the service we provide and exploring new roles in practice.
Within HCOP there are opportunities to complete the Frailty module which forms part of the degree pathway which is a new bespoke module focused solely on the older person and the complexities of caring for them and an ageing population. There are also opportunities to progress up the nursing ladder into advanced clinical practitioner roles.
As the Ward Manager you will be in charge of the ward and ensuring that the standards and quality of care given to patients, together with the environment in which care is delivered, are maintained at a high standard.
Be an effective leader and role model and will be expected to provide regular direct clinical care and use experience to support the implementation of both clinical and non-clinical governance.
Work flexibly as a member of the ward team to support and ensure standards are being maintained, evaluated, and where necessary improved.
