Job Introduction
As a Warden at Chavasse V C House, Berechurch Road, Colchester, CO2 9RQ . Your role is vital in making sure that we provide a safe and secure environment for our residents. As a warden it is your objective to ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents, the serviceability of the building and the maintenance of the good name of both the PFI and the Ministry of Defence.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• You will be the first point of contact for Military (wounded, injured & Sick)
• Safety and wellbeing of residents
• Site safety representative for fire prevention, security of infrastructure, arranging for emergency maintenance and tasking of emergency services.
• Be able to carry out physical manual handling task
• Comply fully with the shift roster, including the period of stand by, in that during that period of stand by you are to be contactable and available to cover shifts as required.
• Controlling access by non residents to the facility
• Responsible for urgent referral of residents to civilian/military agencies, including liaison with NHS 24 and other non-routine or emergency services.
• Maintaining a spirit of community among residents, responding to resident’s personal challenges and emotional issues with empathy.

• MONDAY- FRIDAY16:40-00:00 or 23:40-08:00
• SATURDAY AND SUNDAY08:00-20:00 OR 20:00-08:00(must be fully flexible across all shifts)
• £12.36 per hour
