Description:
Starvox Entertainment is seeking professional and efficient Wardrobe Assistants to assist in the Wardrobe Build of its upcoming production of Evil Dead the Musical. The production will run at the Randolph Theatre, with performances beginning October 5th, 2024. Working with the Head of Wardrobe and Costume Designer, our team of Cutters will complete the 200+ piece wardrobe for the production from September 9th - 30th 2024. Starvox Entertainment is looking for Cutters with experience building larger theatrical productions and that can execute wardrobe alterations and construction as instructed.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrate proficiency in garment construction and alteration
- Professional experience in the field of theatrical costume construction
- Thorough understanding of the costume design and construction processes and a working knowledge of all related aspects of theatre production
- Ability to work productively under pressure
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Experience with wigs, costume prop pieces, blood, theatrical breakdown, painting and dying a plus
Responsibilities:
- Take direction from Costume Designer and Head of Wardrobe to ensure all design elements and practical considerations are realised in final product
- Contribute to the wardrobe construction & alteration of all costume pieces for the production
- Work within budgetary & scheduling constraints as outlined by the Head of Wardrobe, and give regular updates on estimated hours to completion
- Submit availability during Sept 9th - 30th and be available to work when scheduled
- Attend all meetings and technical events as requiredOther wardrobe duties as required
