Description:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management systems.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse management software.

REQUIRED PRIOR LEARNING/ EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar role.

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE:

Cape Herb & Spice operates raw material and finished goods warehouses across multiple sites and we are recruiting a Warehousing & Logistics Manager to oversee the operations of the warehousing and logistics functions.

ROLE OBJECTIVES:

  • Ensure that the warehouse operations perform at peak efficiency, with stock integrity and customer satisfaction the primary goal.
  • Plan warehouse operations by determining product handling and storage requirements, staffing and equipment requirements, gate processes, and inter-site logistics requirements.
  • Manage warehouse operations across multiple sites to ensure peak efficiency, stock integrity and customer satisfaction the primary goals.
  • Review and implement best practice warehouse processes and technology to meet company standards for productivity, safety, quality, and customer service.
  • Manage and train the Supervisor team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
  • Plan and manage inbound and outbound logistics within the company.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing company standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
