Description:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management systems.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse management software.
REQUIRED PRIOR LEARNING/ EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar role.
Responsibilities:
PURPOSE:
Cape Herb & Spice operates raw material and finished goods warehouses across multiple sites and we are recruiting a Warehousing & Logistics Manager to oversee the operations of the warehousing and logistics functions.
ROLE OBJECTIVES:
- Ensure that the warehouse operations perform at peak efficiency, with stock integrity and customer satisfaction the primary goal.
- Plan warehouse operations by determining product handling and storage requirements, staffing and equipment requirements, gate processes, and inter-site logistics requirements.
- Manage warehouse operations across multiple sites to ensure peak efficiency, stock integrity and customer satisfaction the primary goals.
- Review and implement best practice warehouse processes and technology to meet company standards for productivity, safety, quality, and customer service.
- Manage and train the Supervisor team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
- Plan and manage inbound and outbound logistics within the company.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing company standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
