The Warehouse and Logistics Manager coordinates all imports and exports activities including contracts with freight forwarders and shipping companies. The position has overall responsibility for the warehouse, receiving, shipping areas and personnel. The position owns the inventory and is responsible for all material transactions in and out from warehouse.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Customs, Commerce, Business Administration or similar.
  • 5 years of experience in supply chain and more than 2 years in positions with leadership responsibilities.
  • Understanding of safety as it relates to the work environment.
  • Familiarity with ISO, FDA and GMP requirements related to the value Stream’s ability to produce and control products and materials.
  • Knowledge of 6S, lean, problem solving and manufacturing.
  • Ability to work independently and with others.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Must have analytical mindset and very good presentation skills.
  • Previous leadership responsibilities in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple commitments and competing priorities
  • Ability to identify and resolve warehouse problems related to materials.
  • Knowledge of FTZ and local customs regulations.

  • Follows all established processes and SOPs for GMP, ISO and FDA compliance.
  • Complies with all Free Trade Zone regulations and local regulations. Executes all transactions associated to the import of all items and exports of FGs under the regulations of FTZ and local Customs requirements.
  • Coordinates workload for the warehouse and receiving in support of organizational needs, including peaks and special orders.
  • Procures and negotiates contracts with freight forwarders, cargo companies and bonded storerooms (BSRs). Establishes and maintains SOP with freight forwarders.
  • Coordinates all material handling needs based on defined value stream requirements. Monitors material movement from Receiving, warehouse to FG and outside vendors and BSRs as needed.
  • Tracks all established KPI within the designated areas. Performs performance evaluation and monitors compliance within the team. Responsible for monitoring warehouse personnel attendance and tardiness in Kronos.
  • Ensures that work areas are kept clean, safe, and organized at all times (6S).
  • Conducts investigations when respective area is impacted (i.e. ECN’s, MRB’s, NCMRs, CAPA’s).
  • Documents complete and accurate training records as required by Quality Department.
  • Performs transactions in ERP system and monitor product movement from receiving through delivery to distribution centers. Establishes metrics to ensure completion and efficiency of team.
  • Manages departmental and interdepartmental process improvements and cost reduction initiatives. This could include, but is not limited to, warehouse layout, shipping lane quotation, material transfer simplification, packaging optimization. Presents these improvement projects in a simple and concise form to stakeholders.
  • Monitors, maintains, and develops specific, executable strategies to improve product flow, productivity, and quality within the department. Analyzes workload and adjusts staff accordingly to accomplish departmental goals
  • Manages budget and works closely with finance to accomplish financials goals.
  • Identifies waste, communicates, and implements potential solutions using lean concepts to increase the efficiency of the material flow to increase overall capacity.
  • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of Cycle count program and identifies root cause of all material variances as required. Coordinates annual physical inventory when required.
  • Sets and develops the warehouse and logistics team and assists in the enforcement of company rules and regulations as described in the Employee Handbook and Quality Manual.
  • Tracks maintenance of all warehouse equipment.
  • Works with CSI stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of finished good products to Distribution centers.
  • Performs other duties or assignments as required by management.
