WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT

WAGE RANGE: $18.00-$19.40/hourly
JOB SUMMARY: Catholic Charities is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and detail-orientated individual to serve as a warehouse assistant.
Under the direction of the supervisor, this position is responsible for the receiving, storage and inventory of the products received in the Distribution Center.
They are also responsible for maintaining an inventory of supplies in the warehouse and may perform minor maintenance as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERTISE:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic computer skills and ability to read and write required.
- Ability to work with diverse and/or low-income populations, including those who may be experiencing homelessness, unstable housing, and/or mental illness required.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for seeing that donations and deliveries are received up in a timely manner and a receipt is given to every donor.
- Ensure that all orders are pulled and ready for deliveries as instructed by supervisor
- Document any and all weights and measures for information needed for reports and communications.
- Assesses and determines the quality of food products and other materials when donated to the warehouse.
- Responsible for establishing that all in-kind donations, including commodities, are stored properly in the warehouse daily.
- With supervision, assists in the control of inventory of all on-site supplies to be used. Assists in determining what products need to be ordered based on pre-determined par levels. Assist in maintaining a list of available products and materials.
- Maintain organization of supplies according to warehouse storage plan. Accurately label all containers and boxes, including content, quality and date received.
- Responsible for cleanliness and general maintenance of warehouse and loading dock area.
- Responsible for assisting with the maintenance needs that are required with the continued proper use of the warehouse and its relative equipment.
- Safely and legally operate assigned vehicles and standard warehouse equipment such as fork lift, pallet jacks, ladders, shelving etc.
- Responsible for promptly and accurately collecting, entering, managing and reporting of client data into systems of record.
- Other duties as assigned.
