Inovata Foods Corp. is looking for a part-time warehouse associate to partner with us as we bring families and friends together through offering wholesome and convenient meals. The role is located in our Tillsonburg, Ontario facility. Inovata Foods Corp. is a major producer of wholesome control brand frozen meals for many of North America’s largest retailers.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • General knowledge of health & safety guidelines.

  • Strong communicational skills.
  • Must possess good computer skills.
  • Previous warehouse and distribution experience.
  • Must possess a forklift operations license.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the proper handling, put-away and storage of all incoming goods and transfer of product between warehouse and production and internal locations abiding by the GMP & guidelines related to allergens and general warehouse best practices
  • Responsible for the proper staging and issuing of ingredients, raw materials, and packaging to production, respecting FIFO and FEFO in accordance with the Bill of Materials, CFIA and Customer Requirements
  • Responsible for accurate and timely inventory counting, cycle counting and reporting on shortages, potential shortages and/or damages.
  • Responsible for the delivery of all raw materials requiring tempering to room(s) in advance.
  • Actively participates in providing a safe and clean environment within the warehouse.
  • Responsible for the proper use, upkeep, and care of MHE equipment, warehouse docks, doors, racks and related, while working in the warehouse and the reporting of any incidents or issues.
  • Responsible for receiving proper training for their role, cross training, responsibilities, and tasks.
  • Supports the Warehouse Lead Hand and/or Supervisor with schedule flexibility including occasional or recurring & scheduled overtime, weekends and shift coverage.
  • Supports the Warehouse Management Team regarding the maintenance, upkeep and updating of existing warehouse processes and procedures.
  • Cooperates with Purchasing and Production for cycle counting, material deliveries, verifications, lot changes, returns & pick-ups.
  • May be required to participate in various ad-hoc or scheduled plant or warehouse meetings.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the overall warehouse.
  • Responsible for reporting all damaged products, evaluating the circumstances that caused the damage and aiding in the implementation of preventive / corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence and reporting to QA.
  • Follow all company food safety programs including GMP’s to produce the highest quality product for our customers.
  • Responsible for the accuracy / verification of all warehouse material handled and paperwork generated.
  • Ensures timely movement and delivery of quality food products for our customers.
  • Maintains good employee relations throughout the facility. Provides feedback regarding responsibilities, tasks, and expectations via active one-on-one conversations.
  • Maintains their work areas in accordance with departmental requirements, company safety policies and applicable health and safety legislation, rules, and regulations.
  • Assists in the training and orientation of new employees to ensure full understanding of departmental, functional and company expectations and policies.Performs other related duties as required or requested by Lead Hand, Supervisor, Manager, Department Head or Senior leadership.
